Euharlee Planning and Zoning
Planning and Zoning Commission
The Planning and Zoning Commission is committed to the citizens of Euharlee in
both short and long-term strategic planning. The Commission is currently
drafting design standards for future residential and commercial development.
Members are interested in your views and comments, so please contact them if you
are a resident of Euharlee.
In addition, the Commission is responsible for implementing Article XV of the
Euharlee Zoning Ordinance. Primary responsibilities include:
- Conduct Public Hearings on re-zoning applications and make recommendations to
the City Council for approval, approval with conditions, or denial of request.
- Whenever an annexation request is submitted by any means other than resolution ,
the Commission may be called upon to hold a Public Hearing for the purpose of
making a recommendation to the City Council.
- The Zoning Commission has the authority to initiate and make recommendations for
revising the Future Land Use Map. Their recommendation would come after holding
a Public Hearing.
- From time to time, at intervals of not more than four (4) years, the Zoning
Commission will revisit the Zoning Ordinance and, if they feel it is
appropriate, make recommendations to the Council for revisions.
