The City of Euharlee Zoning Commission is responsible for implementing Article XV of the Euharlee Zoning Ordinance. Their primary responsibilities include:
- Conduct Public Hearings on re-zoning applications and make recommendations to the City Council for approval, approval with conditions, or denial of request.
- Whenever an annexation request is submitted by any means other than resolution , the Commission may be called upon to hold a Public Hearing for the purpose of making a recommendation to the City Council .
- The Zoning Commission has the authority to initiate and make recommendations for revising the Future Land Use Map. Their recommendation would come after holding a Public Hearing.
- From time to time, at intervals of not more than four (4) years, the Zoning Commission will revisit the Zoning Ordinance and, if they feel it is appropriate, make recommendations to the Council for
revisions.
